Project Scope

This was a new construction project completed in 2020 at an urgent care facility in Prosper, Texas, ranging about 15,000 square feet. We worked with one of our long-term general contractors on this particular project who coordinated and scheduled everything, making this a very smooth project for our Supreme Team. Typical of any new construction project, our number one goal going into this project was to get the roof on and in the dry as quickly as possible so that all of the interior finishes could take place.

The main roof consisted of a modified bitumen membrane from Johns Manville with R-30 Insulation, Dens Deck Cover Board, a torch applied modified bitumen base sheet, as well as a torch applied, highly reflective, white granulated cap sheet.

The front entry awning roof was a 60-mil Johns Manville TPO roof system.

On the penthouse, there is a blue Petersen Aluminum Company Tite-Loc, standing seam roof system. Going into the project, we knew the client required a custom color of blue for all of their metal roofing systems. This required some coordination and planning due to the extensive lead times from the standing seam metal manufacturer. Peterson was also responsible for manufacturing the coil metal that we fabricated for our coping cap that was installed around the perimeter of the building. Our team was able to collaborate with our manufacturer and achieve the appropriate metal color on all areas of the roof.

In the center of the roof, the property manager installed several HVAC units and other penetrations on the new roof. We were in constant communication with the mechanical contractor to ensure those were watertight installs throughout the course of their installation process to keep the interior of the building dry.

In coordination with our general contractor, the project went through very flawlessly and was a very successful project. This project was completed on time and on budget. It was great to work with this contractor as they kept things on schedule which made for another successful project.
