Dallas Paver/Waterproofing Project – 2019

Play Video

Project Scope

From the beginning of the project, we wanted to address the existing pavers on the roof. Heavy foot traffic by the athletic staff to record practices and broadcast games began breaking down the existing modified bitumen roof, which had concrete pavers on the membrane, weighing roughly 80+ lbs. each. The existing pavers deteriorated at the same rate. We recommended replacing the old pavers, with recycled rubber pavers. The recycled rubber pavers weigh significantly less than the existing pavers, preventing future damage to the newly restored membrane. The new rubber pavers provided the protection to the membrane needed to keep the roof watertight.
